Team’s ‘angel’
To the editor:
As a long-time friend, business partner and caregiver of Kenny Page, I wanted to congratulate Carl Brooks and his Lawrence Raiders on their State American Legion Baseball Championship.
Kenny, who passed away last December, was the head coach on the last Legion team to win the state in 1964. I told Carl that he had an “angel in the outfield” this year, and I know Kenny is very happy. Carl played for Kenny in 1965, and I’m very glad that one of Kenny’s players was the coach of the new champions.
Again, on behalf of Kenny and myself, congratulations to the Lawrence Raiders.
