Roseanne Toler

? Services for Roseanne Toler, 41, Casa Grande, will be at 2 p.m. today at Christian Church of Casa Grande.

Ms. Toler died Tuesday, July 29, 2003, at her home.

She was born Oct. 31, 1961, in Lawrence, Kan., the daughter of Michael and LaWanda Toler. She graduated from Casa Grande Union High School in 1979. She received an associate of arts degree from Mesa Community College in 1981, a bachelor of arts degree from Arizona State University in 1983 and a master of arts degree from Northern Arizona University in 1988. She received her Arizona teachers certification in 1983 and Arizona principal certificate in 1990 from Northern Arizona University.

Ms. Toler taught physical education from 1983 until 2001 at Cottonwood Elementary, Cholla Elementary, Ironwood Elementary and Casa Grande Middle School. She was principal of Evergreen and Ironwood elementary schools. She was a member of United Methodist Church of Casa Grande and was active in American Heart Assn., Parent-Teacher Organization and Casa Grande Library Board.

She was a member of Arizona School Administrators, National Association of Elementary School Principals, American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance, and National Education Assn. She received several awards, including American Heart Assn. volunteer award, Cholla staff member award, outstanding coaching award for varsity softball and teacher of the year.

Survivors include her mother, Casa Grande; her father, Springfield, Mo.; a sister, Cindy Fike, Casa Grande; and grandparents Carrol and Eva Belle Gerstenberger, Eudora.
