Renegades’ season ends
LEXINGTON, KY. ? Lawrence’s Renegades allowed just six hits, but suffered another close loss and saw their season end in the USSSA World Series.
The Lansing (Mich.) Channel Cats ousted the 18-under Renegades, 4-3, Friday.
“We had great pitching again,” Renegades coach Lynn Harrod said. “That’s been the story of the whole tournament. We pitched well, but our hitting was anemic. I’ve never, in 20-plus years of coaching, ever seen an entire team go so lethargic at the plate.”
The Renegades finished the season 24-15 overall and 0-4 in the World Series.
