Support for fans

To the editor:

You’d think the way the team is acting that coach Roy Williams had died.

Haven’t they learned by now life is full of changes and they ought to be mature enough to handle it. The coach is going on to what he wants to do. They should be happy for him and wish him well.

A parade was for the fans to show their support, as always, no matter what.

You’d think the team could rise above their selfishness and show their fans that they were KU basketball players above all and show appreciation for all the times their community showed up for them, win or lose. Where’s their support for their community and fans?

Kay Opper,

Lawrence
