Gerald H. Morton

Topeka ? Services for Gerald H. Morton, 72, Topeka, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home in Topeka. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Topeka.

Mr. Morton died of cancer Tuesday, April 22, 2003, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

He was born Nov. 6, 1930, in Atwood, the son of Roy and Iona M. (Hobbs) Morton. He had lived in Topeka since 1947.

Mr. Morton worked for the Shawnee County Refuse Department in Topeka for 32 years until he retired in 1995.

He married Dorothy Ecton in Topeka. She died earlier.

Survivors include his companion, Shirley Vogt, Lawrence; a son, Craig M., Topeka; a daughter, Lisa Morton, Osawatomie; and two granddaughters.

Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. today.
