Goins services

Williamstown ? Services for Viola Belle Goins, 83, Oskaloosa, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Assembly of God Church in Williamstown. Burial will be in Underwood Cemetery, Williamstown.

Mrs. Goins died Sunday, April 20, 2003, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

She was born Aug. 31, 1919, in Greeley, the daughter of William Riley and Iona Belle (Noble) Tice. She graduated from Greeley High School in 1937. She was a former Williamstown resident.

Mrs. Goins was a homemaker and worked for Raney Drug Store for a few years.

She married Eugene Goins on July 17, 1937, in Ottawa. He died Oct. 31, 1984.

A daughter, Judith Miller, died July 8, 1999. A grandson and great-grandson also died earlier.

Survivors include two daughters, Donna Benton, Meriden, and Cara Malloy, Perry; a sister, Doris Mae Nitcher, Topeka; eight grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Warren-McElwain Mortuary.

The family suggests memorials to Palliative Care Unit at Lawrence Memorial Hospital, sent in care of the mortuary.
