KU to dedicate facility today

A dedication ceremony for Kansas University’s new strength and conditioning center will be at 10 a.m. today.

The $8 million, 42,000 square-foot facility is adjacent to Parrott Complex.

The building, which opened to KU varsity athletes March 24, has weight training equipment, a cardiovascular workout area and lockers.

Dana and Sue Anderson of Los Angeles pledged $4 million toward completion of the project and will be on hand for the dedication. Following the ceremony, the Anderson Family Center will be open for public inspection.
