Jo Ann Spence

Mrs. Spence died Tuesday, April 8, 2003, in Las Vegas. She was cremated.

She was born June 11, 1933, in Meadville, Mo., the daughter of Claude and Lena Belshe. She had lived in Las Vegas for 11 years.

Mrs. Spence had retired as a saleswoman from J.C. Penney in Lawrence.

She married Donald E. Spence 51 years ago. He survives, now of Lawrence.

Other survivors include three daughters, Mary Jo Blanke, Warsaw, Mo., Marlena K. Burns, Overland Park, and Brenda L. Fitzsimmons, Broken Arrow, Okla.; a son, Bryan K. Spence, Lawrence; 11 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
