Marvin Russell Boyce

? Services for Marvin Russell Boyce, 57, Wellsville, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Burlingame Federated Church. Burial will be in Arvonia Cemetery, north of Lebo.

Mr. Boyce died Sunday, April 13, 2003, at Menorah Medical Center, Olathe.

He was born Oct. 8, 1945, near Osage City, the son of Harvey and Ora (Webster) Boyce. He moved with his family to Burlingame eight years later and graduated from Burlingame High School in 1963.

Mr. Boyce worked for Osage City and was a farmer and an over-the-road trucker. He also worked for the state of Kansas in road maintenance and was employed by Johnson County Public Works Department in Olathe at the time of his death. He was a member of American Motorcycle Assn. and AARP.

He married Betty Ormsby on May 22, 1964. She died Feb. 3, 1983. He married Kay Coffman on Oct. 29, 1988, in Lawrence. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include two sons, Lowell, Osage City, and Kevin, Burlington; three daughters, Robin Wood, Lebo, Frankie Beyer, Prairie Village, and Charlotte Kester, of the home; an adopted daughter, Amber Rayl, Wellsville; his mother, Burlingame; two brothers, Leland, Burlingame, and Jerry, Meriden; a sister, Donna Kern, Burlingame, and six grandchildren.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Carey Funeral Home, Burlingame, where the family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday.
