Shirley Ann Brewer

Mrs. Brewer died Wednesday, April 9, 2003, at Mid-America Rehabilitation Hospital in Overland Park.

She was born Feb. 13, 1929, in Madison, Wis., the daughter of George and Anna (Voss) Koltes.

She graduated from Madison East High School in 1946, then attended the University of Wisconsin for one year.

Mrs. Brewer worked as an assistant clerk for Dane County, Wis. She later worked as an administrative assistant at GTI in Olathe.

She married Gordon E. Brewer in 1956. He died in 1984. In 1999, she met Charles Slater, and they later married. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include two sons, David Brewer, Lawrence, and Scott Brewer, Thailand; a stepdaughter, Kathy Brewer, Oregon, Wis.; a brother, Bob Koltes, Madison, and six grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. They suggest memorials to the American Cancer Society.
