As a Fresno State alumnus, it is gratifying to see that Al Bohl’s past has finally caught up with him and resulted in his termination at KU.

Bohl “Clintonized” Fresno State athletics, ushering in an era of financial smoke and mirrors, a complete ethical lapse of the athletic department, and a “win at any cost” rationalization toward the antics of Jerry Tarkanian’s gang. Even now, Bohl has yet to come clean on our budget mess and our president, John Welty, lacks the spine to push the issue.

And you can win with integrity. Witness FSU’s success with Ray Lopes and Pat Hill running our basketball and football programs. We are far better off than we were during the Bohl era.

No, without question, KU now has the opportunity to move the program forward without the hindrance of Bohl.
