The following events and construction projects may affect traffic this week in the area:

U.S. Highway 75 at 46th Street, traffic detoured through roundabout for construction.

U.S. Highway 24 at U.S. 75 interchange, westbound lanes and ramp to southbound U.S. 75 closed for bridge repainting. Detour posted.

Interstate Highway 70 from Shawnee/Wabaunsee county line to the Carlson Road interchange, traffic reduced to one lane each direction and speed limit reduced to 60 mph for road reconstruction.

I-70 at Interstate Highway 635, traffic placed on existing westbound lanes for road reconstruction. I-635 between Metropolitan Avenue and Parallel Parkway, traffic placed on existing southbound lanes for road reconstruction. Several associated ramps closed.

Interstate Highway 35 at Southwest Boulevard, northbound exit ramp and southbound entrance ramp closed for bridge replacement.

Kansas City Royals baseball vs. Detroit Tigers, 7:05 p.m. Friday, 1:05 p.m. Saturday, Kauffman Stadium, Kansas City, Mo.


The following city construction projects may affect traffic this week:

21st Street, Stewart Avenue to east of Naismith Drive, closed for storm sewer improvements.

Storm sewer improvements will limit 19th Terrace, 20th Street and 20th Terrace, and Ousdahl Road, from 19th Street to 21st Street, to local traffic with periodical closure during workday.

Closed for storm sewer improvements will be 21st Street, Massachusetts Street to Kentucky Street, and Vermont Street at 21st Street; periodic closing for storm sewer improvements will occur on 21st Street east of Massachusetts Street, 2100 block of Barker Avenue and the 2100 block of Rhode Island Street.

31st Street, Ousdahl Road to Iowa Street, traffic reduced to one lane each direction for road improvements.

Iowa Street southbound, north of 31 Street, reduced to one lane during the workday for road improvements.

North Michigan, no through traffic north of the Woodcreek Town homes entrance to Riverridge Road, for road improvements.

Wakarusa Drive, north of Sixth Street closed, completed approximately April 25, for road improvements.

Haskell Avenue, 19th Street to Lynn Street, occasional narrowed lanes both northbound and southbound, for line installation.

Eighth Street, Kentucky Street to New Hampshire Street, intermittently reduced to one lane for line installation.

Dakota Street, Vermont Street to the west, intermittent traffic interruptions for line installation.

Seventh Street, New Hampshire Street to New York Street, intermittent lane closures for line installation.
