“Over the River and Through the Woods” opens tonight at Lawrence Community Theatre and runs for three weekends. The comedy tells the story of a young Italian-American man who must choose between taking a job in Seattle or staying in New Jersey with his raucous but loving grandparents.

On Sunday, the Lawrence Chamber Orchestra wraps up its 31st season with a concert that will feature the world premiere of an original trombone concerto by local composer Jesse Krebs.

And English Alternative Theatre will stage director Paul Lim’s interpretation of Tennessee Williams’ “The Glass Menagerie” beginning Wednesday at the Lawrence Arts Center.
