Mandolins invade downtown Lawrence
Mandofest 2003 — described as the biggest mandolin event in the Midwest — will be held today and Saturday in downtown Lawrence.
Mandolinists from across the country will perform at two concerts: Mandolin Night, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. today at Abe & Jake’s Landing, 8 E. Sixth St.; and 8 p.m. Saturday at Liberty Hall, 642 Mass.
The Abe & Jake’s will be a relaxed, informal coffeehouse concert. Admission to the concert Saturday at Liberty Hall is $10. Tickets are available by calling 842-5766..
