Elizabeth G. Miller

Services for Elizabeth G. Miller, 90, Lawrence, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Miller died Tuesday, April 1, 2003, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

She was born Dec. 2, 1912, in rural Silver Lake, the daughter of William M. and Margaret M. (Barnes) Blatt. She graduated from Silver Lake High School and attended Jane C. Stormont School of Nursing in Topeka. She lived most of her life in Lawrence.

Mrs. Miller was a medical assistant for Dr. Virgil Auchard in Lawrence. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and Minervian Club. She was also home demonstration unit coordinator of Brandon Woods bridge clubs. She was often invited by organizations in the Lawrence area to read from her collection of humor.

She married Charles W. Snead in 1932 in Topeka. He died in 1954. She married Carl F. Miller on Dec. 20, 1960. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include a son, Bill Snead, Lawrence; a daughter, Mary Arredondo, Topeka; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. today at Warren-McElwain Mortuary.

The family suggests memorials to Kansas University School of Medicine cardiology department, sent in care of the mortuary.
