Baldwin ? Micah Mason scored early in the game for the third straight week but Baldwin High hurt itself with 12 penalties for 96 yards in the Bulldogs’ 20-13 high school football loss to Louisburg on Friday at BHS.

Mason, who scored on the first play from scrimmage the past two games, opened the contest against Louisburg with an 86-yard kickoff return. He finished with 117 yards on 18 carries.

The Bulldogs other touchdown came on a 28-yard pass from Jason Kesinger to Brian Lauridsen.

Carbondale The Chargers scored on two plays of more than 60 yards and two of less than three.

Troy Baird returned a punt 65 yards for a score and Shane Miles threw a 67-yard touchdown pass to Cameron Babb. Santa Fe Trail’s other two touchdowns came on a 1-yard run by Bryan Ganger and a 2-yard run by Baird.

The Chargers will play host to Tonganoxie on Friday.
