Washington ? The State Department urged U.S. citizens on Sunday to postpone travel to Ivory Coast because of continuing violence in the West African nation.

The department announcement said Americans already in the country should avoid travel to Abidjan, Bouake and Korhogo, noting that Americans in those cities have been urged to stay at home.
