Members of the Lawrence High School Band will present a marathon concert from noon to 10 p.m. Sept. 29 at the school, 1901 La.

The marathon concert will raise money for a trip the band will take in April to San Antonio to compete in the Heritage Music Festival. The cost for each student is $600.

Parents of the band members will provide concessions. A silent auction, with themed baskets from each band instrument section, also will be offered.

Students are seeking donors to sponsor their playing by the hour. Those wanting to contribute can call band director Mike Jones, 832-5050.
