Eudora football pops Osawatomie, 57-19

? Eudora High’s Andrew Pyle is known mainly for his ball-carrying skills, but the Cardinals’ senior running back can play defense, too.

Pyle scored five touchdowns in Eudora’s 57-19 thumping of Osawatomie in Frontier League football on Friday night, and one was on a 47-yard pass interception return.

Otherwise, Pyle rushed for 185 yards on 26 carries and scored on runs of 24, 16, 14 and 7 yards as the high-flying Cards boosted their record to 3-0.

Kaleb Niedens rambled 36 yards with an interception during Eudora’s 28-point second quarter.

Eudora’s other scores came on a 59-yard run by Tyler Jackson and a seven-yard scamper by Cole Massey.

In addition to his five touchdowns, Pyle ran for three conversions, meaning he scored 36 of the Cardinals’ 57 points.

Jackson finished with 113 yards and Tyler Cleveland had 97 yards on three carries.
