She was born Nov. 26, 1920, in Bern, the daughter of August and Theresa (Bohm) Korber. She graduated from Seneca High School in 1938 and from Trinity Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing in Kansas City, Mo., in 1942. She moved to Lawrence from Arlington, Tex., in 1982.

Mrs. Kollin was a registered nurse for more than 35 years and had worked in the newborn nursery at Trinity Lutheran Hospital, Kansas City, Mo.; Harris Hospital, Fort Worth, Tex.; and Boulder Community Hospital, Boulder, Colo. She was a member of West Side Presbyterian Church and O.U.R.S. Dance Club, both of Lawrence.

She married Robert Kollin on Aug. 2, 1957, in Fort Worth, Tex. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include a son, Scott Kollin, of the home; a foster daughter, Melody Merchant, Tucson, Ariz.; a brother, Leon Korber, Bern; and a foster granddaughter.

Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. Sunday and until service time Monday at the mortuary. Family members will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at their home.

The family suggests memorials to Alzheimer’s Disease Foundation. They may be sent in care of the mortuary.
