Robert Adam Kay

? Memorial services for Robert Adam Kay, 70, Rockport, will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Charlie Marshall Funeral Chapel, Rockport.

Mr. Kay died Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2002, at his home.

He was born Feb. 14, 1932, in Hanston, Kan., the son of Adam and Blanche (Coffin) Kay. He graduated in 1950 from Liberty Memorial High School in Lawrence, Kan., and attended Kansas University. He moved to Rockport in 1981.

Mr. Kay served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He had served as president of the board of directors of Aransas County Emergency Medical Services, president of Rockport/Fulton Chamber of Commerce, president of Rockport Sea Fair and president of Copano Shrine Club. He was also a member of Masonic Lodge No. 323 A.F. & A.M. and St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, and a lifetime member of Sports Car Club of America-Competition License.

He married Rosemary Lozano in 1955. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include a son, John, Rockport; a daughter, Maley Wilkins, Lawrence, Kan.; a brother, Donald, Atlanta; a sister, Katherine Brown, Seymour, Ind.; and three grandchildren.
