David Floyd Ricketts

Riverside, Calif. ? Memorial services for David Floyd Ricketts, 55, Meriden, Kan., will be at a later date in Riverside. Burial will be in Crestlawn Cemetery in Riverside.

Mr. Ricketts died Friday, Sept. 13, 2002, from an accidental fall in his home. Cremation is planned.

He was born May 25, 1947, in Lubbock, Tex., the son of Junius Floyd and Helen (Norris) Ricketts. He graduated from College of The Desert in Palm Springs in 1975. He had lived in Meriden for nine years.

Mr. Ricketts served in the Special Forces of the U.S. Army in Vietnam and served in the Army’s charter program of paramedics. He was a computer analyst for Sprint for many years.

He was a member of Palms Baptist Church in Riverside.

Survivors include two daughters, Michelle Jester, Riverside, and Amy Ricketts, Atlanta; his mother, Helen Fraley, Riverside; a sister, Mary Levine, Santa Ana; and two grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and they may be sent in care of Barnett’s Meriden Funeral Chapel, P.O. Box 331, Meriden KS 66512.
