Vestal Stebbins

Berryville, Ark. ? Services for Vestal Stebbins, 87, Berryville, were Wednesday at Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel, Berryville. Burial was in McGuire Cemetery, south of Shell Knob, Mo.

Mr. Stebbins died Monday, Sept. 9, 2002, in Berryville.

He was born Feb. 15, 1915, in Perry, Kan., the son of Charles Fredrick and Velma (Dick) Stebbins.

Mr. Stebbins was the owner of an engine repair shop.

He married Elizabeth Jane Skinner on Feb. 24, 1937. She died earlier.

Survivors include a son, Merland, Longview, Tex.; two daughters, Arleta Allen, Verona, and Eloyce Allen, Shell Knob; four brothers, Herbert and Lyle, both of Topeka, Kan., Laverne, Oskaloosa, Kan., and M.L., Perry; and two sisters, Lorraine Baker and Bernece Spielman, both of Topeka.

Two grandchildren died earlier.
