Burglaries and thefts reported

The Downtown Barbershop, 824 Mass., was broken into sometime late Friday night or early Saturday, Lawrence Police said Tuesday. The rear door of the business was forced open. About $150 was taken from a cash drawer. Damage to two wooden doors was estimated at $1,000.

Condition reports

Joshua I. Walton, 20, remained in serious condition Friday at KU Med, Kansas City, Kan. He was injured Oct. 8 when his car collided head-on with a tractor-trailer on Kansas Highway 10 west of Eudora.
