Kuehn Services

He was born April 15, 1920, in Bazine, the son of Henry and Katie (Diel) Kuehn. He lived in Lawrence from 1966 to 1989, then returned to the area in 1999.

Mr. Kuehn served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a retired building inspector for the state of Kansas at Kansas University and a member of American Legion Dorsey-Liberty Post No. 14 in Lawrence.

He married Lillian E. Bauer on Feb. 4, 1943, at Amarillo Air Field in Texas. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include two daughters, Marilyn L. Rubin, Overland Park, and Susan Oakson, Eagle, Colo.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A son, Rodney, died earlier.

The family suggests memorials to Alzheimer’s and Related Disorders Assn., sent in care of the mortuary.
