Ina Cathcart Harding

She was born Aug. 18, 1911, in Winchester, the daughter of Thomas and Agnes (Curry) Cathcart. She attended Sterling College in Sterling. She had lived in Lawrence since 1953.

Mrs. Harding was a secretary for the state of Kansas at the Museum of Natural History until she retired in 1973. She was a homemaker and lifelong member of the Presbyterian Church. She was also a member of National Association Retired Federal Employees.

She married Clifford L. Harding on June 16, 1937, in Winchester. He died June 3, 1976.

Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Laney, Tahlequah, Okla.; a son, Clifford L. Harding, Lawrence; three grandchildren; and three great-granddaughters.

The family suggests memorials to the Good Samaritan Fund at Lawrence Presbyterian Manor, sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
