LHS coach Jo Huntsinger said despite some struggles there were pleasing moments during Saturday's matches.

"We played well at times but only put it together for one match and got home early," she said.

Huntsinger said Morgan McMichael and Kim Davis were vital to the Lions' attack.

Lawrence, 9-24, will play host to a Senior Night quadrangular on Tuesday when Emporia, Leavenworth Immaculata and Topeka West come to town.

Huntsinger said the Lions were eagerly anticipating the season's last home matches.

"We're really looking forward to that," she said. "We're going to try to do some things really differently."

The Firebirds, 11-19, will also play host to a quadrangular on Tuesday night against Overland Park Aquinas, Tonganoxie and Topeka High. It will be the Firebirds' Senior Night.

Also on Saturday, Seabury Academy's volleyball team was 0-4 at the Oskaloosa Tournament.
