— Kansas University's volleyball team lost its second straight match, falling to No. 22 Missouri, 30-22, 30-16, 30-24, on Saturday at Hearnes Center.

The Jayhawks lost their first back-to-back matches of the season in their third match this year against a Top 25 team.

"We ran into a very aggressive serving team tonight and Missouri took us out of the contest early," Kansas coach Ray Bechard said. "MU may very well be the best team we've faced all year. It was a difficult night for us."

Kansas freshman middle blocker Josiane Lima led the Jayhawks with six kills. Junior outside hitters Sarah Rome and Abbie Jacobsen added five kills each.

The Jayhawks recorded 11 blocks, including a career-best nine from Lima.

Kansas sophomore outside hitter Lindsey Morris finished with a team-best seven digs and recorded the Jayhawks' only service ace of the match.

Mizzou had four players with at least 10 kills.

The Jayhawks' next action comes at 7 p.m. Wednesday when they play host to No. 4 Nebraska at the Horejsi Center. The Huskers have won 59 consecutive Big 12 Conference matches.
