Burglaries and thefts reported

A 25-year-old Perry man told Lawrence Police someone took his 1983 Chevrolet Caprice. The car was parked from 10:30 p.m. Thursday to 1 a.m. Friday in the 1000 block of East 23rd Street. Losses of the car and items inside amounted to $2,504, police said.

Injury accidents

A Leawood woman and an Olathe woman suffered injuries in a collision Friday evening at Sixth Street and Lawrence Avenue. Dorothy Mulford, 80, Leawood, was traveling west on Sixth Street in a gold 1997 Lincoln Town Car when she turned south onto Lawrence Avenue in front of Jill Blancho, 22, Olathe, who was driving east on Sixth Street in a red 1993 Chevrolet Cavalier, Lawrence Police Sgt. Paul Fellers said. Both women had green lights at the intersection, Fellers said. Mulford was cited for failing to yield while making a left-hand turn, Fellers said. Both women were taken by ambulance to Lawrence Memorial Hospital. Blancho was treated and released, and Mulford was in good condition late Friday, a hospital spokesman said. The accident occurred about 6:30 p.m. and affected traffic at the intersection for about half an hour.

Condition reports

Joshua I. Walton, 20, Olathe, remained in critical condition Friday at KU Med. Also at KU Med, Ryan D. Galemore, 21, Olathe, was upgraded from critical to serious condition. Both were injured Tuesday when their car collided head-on with a tractor-trailer on Kansas Highway 10 west of Eudora.
