Ron Voller, who lived near the 14th hole at the Timber Greens golf course, had been playing golf for more than 30 years and had a 22 handicap. The contest had been going for three months at Timber Greens, Lost Oaks and Nine Eagles courses as a charity event benefiting All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg.
