Smith services
Services for Ella Jean Smith, 64, Mountain View, Ark., will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Smith died Friday, Oct. 4, 2002, in Mountain View.
She was born Sept. 28, 1938, in Allison, Ark., the daughter of Harold and Genevera (Pitts) Blevins. She grew up and attended school in Mountain View until eighth grade, when she moved to Baldwin. She attended high school in DeSoto. She moved from Eudora to Mountain View six years ago.
Mrs. Smith was a cosmetologist in Eudora for many years. She was a member of Baptist Church in Mountain View.
She married George Julian Smith on April 12, 1954, in Mountain View. He died Sept. 25, 1983.
Survivors include a son, Jeff Montgomery Smith, Lawrence; two daughters, Linda Sue Smith, Mountain View, and Sherrie Bridgett Smith Born, Lawrence; a stepfather, Billy G. Fulks, Pleasant Grove, Ark.; a sister, Lola Allen, Eudora; two brothers, Billy Ray Fulks, Jesup, Ga., and Gary M. Fulks, Batesville, Ark.; and eight grandchildren.
A son, Randy Smith, died Sept. 25, 1991.
Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. Thursday and until service time Friday at the funeral home, where family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday.
The family suggests memorials to the American Heart Assn., sent in care of the funeral home.
