Falcons’ Vick doubtful for Giants game

Flowery Branch, Ga. Michael Vick’s sprained right shoulder hurt so much Monday he struggled to get dressed.

A day after leaving in the third quarter of Atlanta’s 20-6 loss to Tampa Bay, Vick agreed with coach Dan Reeves’ decision to list him as doubtful for this week’s game at New York.

Baltimore’s Lewis may play in pain

Owings Mills, Md. If Ray Lewis starts for the Baltimore Ravens this Sunday, he will probably have to play in pain.

Lewis partially dislocated his left shoulder during Sunday night’s game against the Cleveland Browns. The five-time Pro Bowl star had an MRI on the shoulder Monday. No extensive damage was found.

Seahawk will appeal fine

Kirkland, Wash. Seattle Seahawks linebacker Marcus Bell said Monday he plans to appeal a $25,000 fine from the NFL office for knocking down umpire Carl Madsen during a Sept. 29 game against the Minnesota Vikings.

Two Redskins ailing

Ashburn, Va. Washington Redskins running back Stephen Davis has a sprained knee but is confident he will play Sunday against New Orleans. Meanwhile, quarterback Danny Wuerffel is out because of a bruised shoulder.

Shockey undergoes MRI

East Rutherford, N.J. New York Giants tight end Jeremy Shockey had an MRI on his sore left toe Monday, and his status is uncertain for Sunday’s game against Atlanta.

Titan tears cartilage

Nashville, Tenn. Tennessee defensive end Carlos Hall tore cartilage in his right knee that will require surgery.
