Carttar-Lu

Rebecca Carttar, Lawrence, and Daniel Lu, Overland Park, were married June 8, 2002, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lawrence with the Rev. Gary Teske officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Stephen and Sarah Carttar, Lawrence. The groom is the son of John and Karen Lu, Overland Park.

Maid of honor was Johanna Carttar. Best man was Joshua Lu. Bridesmaids were Esra Tulek, Natasha Andersen and Tekiye Bayram. Groomsmen were Gabe Dalton, Brian Hanks, Brian Metzger and Luke Wang.

Tennery Carttar was flower girl. Patrick Carttar was ring bearer. Bart Littlejohn and Tu Quach were ushers. The Rev. Frank Feng and Lynn Hoppel were readers. John Salveson and Raymond Chuang were musicians. Emma Brooke and Elizabeth Carttar were greeters. Katherine Carttar was the guest book attendant.

A reception followed at the church.

The bride is a 1996 graduate of Lawrence High School. She received her bachelor’s degree in biology from Kansas University in 2001. She is attending veterinary school at Kansas State University.

The groom is a 1995 graduate of Olathe East High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from KU in 1999. He is a project analyst for State Street Corp.

The couple reside in Manhattan.
