Mulvane ? Santa Fe Trail’s Jay Shively almost single-handedly propelled the Chargers to a 6-5 victory over Wellington in the third-place game of the Class 4A baseball tournament Sunday.

Shively improved to 3-1 as the winning pitcher, helping his cause with a solo home run in the bottom of the sixth inning to break a 5-all tie.

Derek Miles and Troy Baird each had doubles for the Chargers, who finished the season 22-4.
