Buck-Bardeen

Charlie and Katy Buck, Lawrence, announce the engagement of their daughter, Regan Michelle Buck to James Robert Amos Bardeen, both of Lawrence.

The future bride is a 1999 graduate of Lawrence High School. She attended Macalester College in St. Paul, Minn. She is a senior at Kansas University, where she is majoring in history and women’s studies.

The future groom is the son of the Rev. Dr. Robert and Joyce Bardeen, Pittsburg. He is a 1997 graduate of Pittsburg High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from KU in 2001. He is employed with the energy group at Burns and McDonnell in Kansas City, Mo.

The couple plan a June 29 wedding on the KU campus.

Bohler-Folks

Richard and Ginger Folks, St. Peters, Mo., formerly of Lawrence, announce the engagement of their son Michael J. Folks, O’Fallon, Mo., to Cynthia M. Bohler, O’Fallon, Mo., daughter of Kitty Bohler, St. Peters, Mo., and Floyd Bohler, Florissant, Mo.

The future bride is a 2002 graduate of Fort Zumwalt South High School, St. Peters, Mo. She received a degree in health occupations from Lewis-Clark Vo-tech, St. Charles, Mo. She attends St. Charles County Community College, where she is studying nursing. She is employed by Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis.

The future groom is a 1999 graduate of Fort Zumwalt South High School. He received a degree in welding from Lewis-Clark Vo-tech. He is employed by True Fitness as a welder, and Teachers Billards/Fortels Pizza in St. Peters, Mo.

The couple plan a January 2004 wedding.

Collie-Harper

Gerry and Kim Collie, Lawrence, announce the engagement of their daughter Sarah Lynn Collie, Lawrence, to David Michael Harper, Lawrence, son of Gigi and Bob Woodard, Lawrence, and Guy Harper, Oakdale, Minn.

The future bride is a 1999 graduate of Free State High School and attends Johnson County Community College.

The future groom is a 1999 graduate of Free State High School and attends Johnson County Community College. He is employed with Wal-Mart.

The couple plan a June 29 wedding at First Christian Church in Lawrence.

Daniels-Rusmisel

Randall and Janet Daniels, Lawrence, announce the engagement of their daughter Randie J. Daniels, Lawrence, to Travis A. Rusmisel, Mt. Solon, Va.

The future bride is a 1992 graduate of Lawrence High School. She is a lift truck operator for Little Debbie Snacks.

The future groom is the son of Donald and Bonnie Rusmisel, Bridgewater, Va. He is a 1992 graduate of Fort Defiance High School. He drives a tractor-trailer for Averitt Express.

The couple plan a July 21 wedding.

Johnson-Bryan

Melissa Johnson, Baldwin, and Jason Bryan, Wellsville, announce their engagement.

The future bride is the daughter of Harold and Barbara Johnson, Baldwin. She is a 2001 graduate of Baldwin High School and is pursuing a degree in nursing at Baker University.

The future groom is the son of Lawrence and Joan Brya, Ottawa. He is a 1997 graduate of Ottawa High School and is employed as a Franklin County sheriff’s deputy.

The couple plan a Sept. 7 wedding at the home of the bride’s parents, near Baldwin.

Silver-Lahm

Lynn and Donna Silver, Burlingame, and David and Nancy Lahm, Lawrence, announce the engagement of their children, Lisa Jean Silver and Jacob Webster Lahm, both of Boulder, Colo.

The future bride is a 1997 graduate of Osage City High School. She received her bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from Kansas State University. She plans to graduate June 16 from the Boulder College of Massage Therapy in Boulder, Colo.

The future groom is a 1994 graduate of Lawrence High School. He received his bachelor’s degree in economics from Kansas State University. He is the general manager of Finish Line Inc. in Cheyenne, Wyo.

The couple plan a Sept. 7 wedding at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Topeka.
