Prisoners up for parole

Four people serving prison time for criminal convictions in Douglas County will go before a parole board this week.

The Kansas Parole Board is seeking public comments about these prisoners:

Travis G. Williams, convicted of two counts of taking indecent liberties with a child.

James L. Simmons Jr., convicted in Douglas County of two counts of robbery and possession of drugs and three counts of robbery in Sedgwick County.

Eddie L. McBride, convicted of robbery.

Robin Buckley, convicted in Douglas County of aggravated escape from custody, three counts of theft in Sedgwick County and one count of possession of drugs in Shawnee County.

The parole board will be at the following locations this week to listen to public comments:

9 a.m. to noon today, Kansas City, Kan., City Hall, 701 N. Seventh St.

8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Friday in Topeka’s Landon State Office Building, first floor, room 106 A, 900 S.W. Jackson St.
