KANSAS CITY, KAN. ? Thursday rains kept Lakeside Speedway track technicians from preparing the half-mile dirt oval, forcing the cancellation of the Friday night events.

Having run the World Dirt Racing League on Wednesday, coupled with the excessive moisture the facility received the following day, made running the Friday show impossible.

Double features for the NASCAR Weekly Racing Series presented by Dodge Modifieds, along with the regular show of Shortrack Series Grand National Limited Late Models and Factory Stocks, will be rescheduled for this coming Friday, May 24th. Gates will open at 5 p.m., Hot Laps at 6:30 p.m. and racing at 7:30 p.m.
