Sophia Marie Kimminau

? Services for Sophia Marie Kimminau, 83, Wichita, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wichita. Burial will be at White Chapel Cemetery, Wichita.

Mrs. Kimminau died Saturday, May 18, 2002, at an Andover nursing home.

She was born Aug. 22, 1918, near the village of Willowdale in Kingman County, the daughter of Michael and Mary (Gehlen) Laggart.

Mrs. Kimminau was a member of the Daughters of Isabella, Kingman. She also belonged to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wichita, and was active in its Altar Society and quilting group.

She married Bernard John Kimminau on Nov. 19, 1940, in Willowdale. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include a daughter, Patricia Lechtenberg, Lawrence; four sons, Richard Kimminau and Dennis Kimminau, both of Wichita, Michael Kimminau, Andover, and Leroy Kimminau, Leawood; two sisters, Dolores Weber, Colorado, and Veronica Weber Goetz, Cunningham; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A rosary will be said at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
