Stephen-Ballew

Lisa Stephen and Steve Ballew, both of Lawrence, were married April 19, 2002, at the Union Pacific Depot in Lawrence, with Boog Highberger officiating.

The bride is the daughter of David and Marian Stephen, Olathe. The groom is the son of Harold and Phyllis Ballew, Baldwin.

Matrons of honor were Mary Brown and Nina Limesand. Best man was Christopher Gabbert.

The bride’s son, Theo Stephen, was the ringbearer.

A reception followed the ceremony at the Union Pacific Depot in Lawrence.

The bride is a 1981 graduate of Olathe High School. She received a bachelor’s degree in 1987 and a master’s degree in 1998 at Kansas University. She is an instructor of English as a second language and coordinator of the Learning Resource Center at Baker University in Baldwin.

The groom received a bachelor’s degree in 1982 from the KU. He is self-employed.

The couple reside in Lawrence.
