Dallas ? Thirty Kansas University student-athletes including 18 women and 12 men were among the 246 members of the Big 12 Conference’s Track and Field Academic All-Big 12 Teams, the league announced Tuesday.

Special recognition was given to three Kansas student-athletes Eve Lamborn, Abby Nielsen and Brian Blachly who had 4.0 grade point averages.

The Jayhawk women led the conference with 18 total honorees, including 16 first-team selections and two second-team selections.

The Kansas men had seven first-team selections and five second-team honorees. First-team members consist of those who have maintained a 3.2 or better grade point average, while the second-team is those who have a 3.0 to 3.19 GPA.
