Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical reported the following responses:

Burglaries and Thefts Reported

A 19-year-old Lawrence resident reported someone had broken into his apartment Tuesday afternoon in the 2400 block of Ousdahl Road. A sliding glass door was damaged, and more than $1,200 in DVDs and video games were missing.

A 1986 Oldsmobile Cutlass worth $1,000 was removed around 6:40 p.m. Monday from the 3800 block of Greenway Circle, a Lawrence Police report said. A 20-year-old Lawrence woman reported the disappearance.

Police Reports

Police were called at 12:25 p.m. Wednesday to Central Junior High School, 1400 Mass., on reports a 14-year-old student had threatened a teacher and left school grounds. The student was arrested in the 1500 block of Learnard Avenue. According to police reports, the student had a dagger-style knife. He was brought to the Douglas County Judicial & Law Enforcement Center and then released to a relative.

Lawrence Police were called at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday to Harbour Lights, 1031 Mass., by employees who said a man with a knife had refused to leave the business. They arrested a 26-year-old man on a charge of carrying a concealed weapon.
