KU players tapped

Kansas University softball players Courtney Wright and Shelly Musser have been named to the Academic All-District VII team. Wright has a 3.94 grade point average in pre-med; Musser a 3.23 GPA in pre-nursing.

Softball this weekend

Two dozen teams from Kansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma and South Dakota will compete in a softball tournament this weekend at Clinton Lake Softball Complex in conjunction with Haskell Indian Nation University’s commencement. Games will start at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. on Sunday.

Garland signs with BU

Free State High senior Stacie Garland on Thursday signed a letter of intent to play volleyball at Baker University.
