The week: Black, who signed on Sunday to run track at Kansas University, won the 400 in 50.6 seconds and ran a 1:55.9 split on Baldwin’s 4×800 relay that set a school record of 8:06.1 at Wellsville’s Redbud Classic.

Comment: “He has been working really hard and his times are going to really start dropping,” BHS coach Mike Spielman said. “They (Black and senior teammate Matt Noonan) have been great leaders in their four years here and have accomplished many goals that only a few can say they have done.”
