KANSAS CITY, KAN. ? A man from Mexico was sentenced Monday to 27 months in federal prison for his part in distributing 584 pounds of marijuana, the U.S. Attorney’s office said.

Juan Rutiaga-Ochoa, 20, pleaded guilty in January to one count of possession with intent to distribute marijuana.

He was one of three men who admitted his part in bringing a semi-trailer truck full of marijuana last October to a farm in Miami County.
