Hazel Ann James

She was born Aug. 27, 1934, in Eudora, the daughter of William Loyd and Leona (Jordan) Bryant.

Mrs. James was a homemaker. She also had worked for Hallmark Cards and in Eudora schools. She retired in 1990.

She was a member of the Eudora Historical Society and P.A.T.H. of Lawrence. She served as a den mother for the Cub Scouts of America for many years.

She married Buddy James on June 12, 1953, in Eudora. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include two sons, the Rev. Ronald E. James, Pomona, and Timothy W. James, Oskaloosa; four brothers, Kenneth Bryant and Leslie Bryant, both of Eudora, Calvin Bryant, Kansas City, Kan., and Samuel Bryant, Lawrence; two sisters, Lorraine Mason, Eudora, and Alberta Dover, McLouth; and two grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary.

The family suggests memorials in her name to the church, sent in care of the mortuary.
