Burglaries and thefts reported

A 20-year-old Lawrence woman reported to Lawrence Police that someone burglarized her car Wednesday night or early Thursday morning while it was parked at 11th and Massachusetts streets. A case containing 100 compact discs was taken. Total losses and damage was listed at $3,300.

A 1998 Jeep Cherokee was taken sometime late Thursday or early Friday from the 800 block of Massachusetts Street, a 22-year-old Lawrence man told police. The Jeep was valued at $18,000.

Someone broke out the driver’s side window of a 1990 Ford F150 pickup truck while it was parked in the 00 block of East Sixth Street. The incident occurred sometime Thursday night or Friday morning, a 21-year-old Olathe man told Lawrence Police. A laptop computer was taken from inside the truck. Losses and damage was listed at a total of $2,800.

A 26-year-old Wichita man suffered a broken jaw when he was struck by someone outside the 508 Club, 508 Locust, Lawrence Police said. A fight had broken out involving several people, a police report said. The victim was taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital by a friend. Hospital officials called police.
