Edna Marie Wood

? Memorial services for Edna Marie Wood, 84, Boulder, formerly of Lawrence, Kan., will be at 10 a.m. May 22 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Boulder. Private inurnment services will be Thursday in Choteau, Mont.

Mrs. Wood died Tuesday, April 30, 2002, at Boulder Manor nursing facility. She moved to Boulder from Choteau, Mont.

She was born Feb. 27, 1918, in Lawrence, Kan., the daughter of John and Leona (Coomans) Hormel. She was adopted by Miller and Anna Carpenter. She attended Lawrence public schools and graduated from Liberty Memorial High School in 1938.

Mrs. Wood worked with her husband at Reuter Organ Factory, Lawrence, Kan., in the 1940s. She also worked in food service at the University of Colorado, Boulder.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Lawrence, Kan.

She married Willett Wood in 1940. He died in 1960.

Survivors include a son, Harold Wood, Silver Spring, Md.; a daughter, Janet Wood, Lafayette, Colo.; three sisters, Mabel Stoneback and Betty Brink, Lawrence, Kan., and Virginia Valkenaar, Sumner, Wash.; and two grandsons.
