Mr. Douglas died Tuesday, April 16, 2002, at Brandon Woods Retirement Community.

He was born March 5, 1909, in Topeka, the son of Edwin E. and Ellen M. (Kiernan) Douglas.

Mr. Douglas was a military veteran. He served in the U.S. Army from April 1942 to December 1945.

He was a postal worker for the Postal Service in Topeka.

Mr. Douglas was a member of Philip Billard Post No. 1650 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He married Fern E. Barnhardt in Topeka.
