Benny L. Butler Jr.

? Services for Benny L. Butler Jr., 52, Red Rock, Okla., were Saturday at Ponca Indian United Methodist Church, White Eagle. Burial was in Washunga Cemetery, Newkirk.

Mr. Butler died Wednesday, April 24, 2002, at his home.

He was born Jan. 27, 1950, in Pawnee, Okla., the son of Benny L. Sr. and Wilhemina (Cry) Butler. He was raised and attended schools in Nebraska. He moved back to Oklahoma in 1972. He attended Haskell Indian Junior College, Lawrence, for two years before returning to Oklahoma.

He worked at Continental Carbon Company, Ponca City.

Mr. Butler was a member of Ponca Indian Nazerene Church, Ponca City.

Survivors include a son, Benny L. III, Tonkawa; a daughter, Serena K. Craig, of Ohio; two sisters, Lorene Ann Glover, Lawrence, Kan., and JoLavon Childs, Red Rock; and seven grandchildren.
