Daffodil show set to bloom

Kansas State Research and Extension-Douglas County and Prairie Acres Garden Club are sponsoring a “Daffodils on Parade” flower show April 12-13 at the Extension office, 2110 Harper St.

Entries are open to the public and will be taken from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. April 12. For more information, call 843-7058.

The free show will be open from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. April 12 and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 13.

This week, “Home and Away” host Cathy Hamilton, right, offers an encore presentation of one of her most talked-about shows: the concrete house at 15th Street and Wagon Wheel Road.

A new show airs at 6:30 p.m. each Monday on Sunflower Broadband Channel 6 and repeats at 9 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. The show is also broadcast at 9 p.m. Tuesday-Friday and 9 a.m. Sunday.
